Today I played around with a new technique that I learned from watching Rachel Tessaman's alternative Paper Pumpkin projects. She crated cards using the gold gilding as a veining in her alcohol ink projects.
In my projects I stamped using the beautiful blob stamp from Artistically inked and the similar stamp from the recent Paper Pumpkin set. I used Just Jade and Night of Navy to create the color combination I was looking for. The veining is created by using our multipurpose glue in a very thin stream where you want the gold gilding to be placed. Let it dry until it is just tacky. I left mine overnight and was surprised to see it was still tacky and perfect for the project. Then press the gold leafing over the glue and let adhere and then brush the extra away gently. I used a sponge to do this and it was a great tool.
On this card I also used the Expressions in Ink Ephemera pack and some sequins to get the sparkly look I wanted.
